DAY 30: Changing Our Nation

by Rev Margaret Court AO MBE, Senior Minister Victory Life Centre, Perth WA

Prayer in the authority of the word of God, in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus will change our nation.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV).

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2 NKJV).

Our faith-filled prayers change Nations!
Be a prophetic voice in prayer for our Nation.
Speak those ‘prophetic missiles’ over our Nation.
Pray the Word of God for our leaders.

Father, we pray that marriage as you ordained it in the beginning, remain as solely between one man and one woman.

We declare the words of Jesus found in Matthew 19:5 when he quotes your words in Genesis 2:24 that “a husband shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and that the two shall become one flesh” in Jesus’ name.

Father, we pray for the protection of our children in this nation – that your ‘NO’ voice be louder than any other voice coming against the families of this nation in Jesus’ name.

King David asked “If the foundations be destroyed what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3). Father, we declare – let the foundations of family be strong in our nation; that it be cleansed by the Blood of Jesus.

Jesus said, “every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted be uprooted” (Matthew 15:13). Father, we pray that the spirit of homosexuality be uprooted in our nation, in Jesus’ name. Father we pray that homosexual people come to Christ like never before, that they will “confess with [their] mouth(s) the Lord Jesus and believe in [their] heart(s) that God has raised Him from the dead” and “be saved” (Romans 10:9-10). We ask in Jesus’ Name.

Father, we thank you we read in James 5:16 that “the earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteousness man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working)”. We ask you Father to burden the hearts of many to pray for our nation, in Jesus’ name.

Father God, you declared that you are “long suffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression.” (Numbers 14:18). You also said, “I have pardoned according to your word; but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord” (Numbers 14:20-21). We therefore pray that you forgive the iniquities our nation. We ask in Jesus’ name.

We declare, Father, that this nation is the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit. We pray that your prophetic words will bring transformation to our nation, in Jesus’ name.

Father, even as “the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters” (Genesis 1:1-2) at Creation, we pray that the Holy Spirit hover over this nation to perform your word. We pray that the light of your word will dispel the darkness from this our nation of Australia, in Jesus’ name.
