The Year of Jubilee – the Year the Captives are Set Free
Interestingly this is now 49 years on and from a scriptural point of view since 1973. This in bible terms is the year of Jubilee and was the year of the Lord’s favour and the year the captives are set free. Let’s believe God for a breakthrough for these dear people according to Matthew 4:6, “The people living in darkness have seen a great light!”
So, in effect we are supporting and partnering in Prayer, Praise & Worship with the Tony Baines outreach and worship event in Nimbin at the same time. We will do live reporting between the two events.

To make this 72 Hours of Praise, Prayer & Worship to God for Revival for Australia on Zoom work. We will need to draw a lot of prayer & worship warriors in from all over Australia. Will you commit to helping us at this time as we pray & worship together on Zoom on behalf of our nation? The best way to connect with us on this 72-hour Prayer, Praise & Worship project and stay informed is at this link.
What is our scriptural foundation for this initiative?
Acts 15:15-17 tells the story well. “And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: ‘After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up; So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, Says the Lord who does all these things.'”
The reference to David’s Tabernacle was multi-layered. James was referring to the fact that both Jews and Gentiles were welcome to dwell in God’s house together and find Salvation in Jesus. Secondly, it was referring to a specific period in Israel’s history when for 40 years King David appointed people & musicians to worship and praise God 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for 40 years. Most of the Psalms come out of this time of prophetic prayer and worship.
Let’s look into the New Testament for a picture of heaven coming to earth through 24-7 Prayer & Worship to God.
“Now when He (Jesus) had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honour and glory and blessing!” (Revelation 5:8-13)
