Share the Declaration
Without your active participation, this is just one more site amongst millions. When you rise to the call however, it becomes a sharp and powerful tool for good.
Please be encouraged to share this site with Christians and Christian leaders - anyone interested in civil rights, politics or human rights issues - and with community leaders and political leaders.
b) Email the document to a friend, the link, or even just mention it (though a link is recommended).
c) Talk about it. Every conversation could trigger a hundred more.
d) Pray about it! Pray for its success, its publicity, its acceptance, its administration, its financing and those involved in administrating it.
What can you say?
Try some of these as simple answers to common questions. If you have an idea what to day you might be more confident in talking it up.
To get the conversation started:
“What did you think of the election result?”
“Do you reckon the politicians tell us the full story?”
“Do you reckon society is more or less healthy than it was 20 years ago?
… More or less healthy than it was last year?”
“I’m annoyed that our freedoms are being eroded. How do you feel about it?”
“My kids are growing up in a tougher world then I did. They don’t know what way is up anymore. Nothing’s right. Nothing’s wrong. Do you reckon its harder?”
To get the Declaration discussed:
“I had to do something …”
“I found this site on the web. They had a petition to sign and they keep me up to date on what’s going on. That’s how I knew about …”
“I decided if I don’t get the information I’m not going to get told about it.
To answer: What is the Declaration?
It’s an opportunity! It’s hard for the little guy to do something on his own, so this has been set up to help rally our voices. It’s a statement you can sign that says 'No' to the thought police and protects freedoms, families, kids and babies. If enough people sign it, a real statement will be made that enough is enough!
I want them to know that there are people who believe religious freedoms, marriages, families and human life need to be protected.
To answer: Who does it?
The Declaration was written by a cross-denominational team so its pretty straight forwardIt’s an opportunity! To answer: What’s the goal? What’s the point?
Firstly, to let people know that our freedoms are being taken away while we are busy doing other things. They know we are busy, but they want people to be aware of the problems and educated as to what we can do about it.
Once people know, they encourage us what to be praying for, provide resources and show us simple and effective ways to make a difference.
A big goal, and its happening, is they’re bringing the different churches and the Christian community together. When we work together we can make a stand for Christian values. And we need to.
To answer: What do I have to do?
It’s easy. Just go onto the web site and sign up. Add your voice to the chorus. You just have to fill out a few fields on their web site.
To answer: What do they do with your signature?
They only get your info, not a signature. But even if you sign it on paper somewhere, it only goes on file. They send you one email about every ten days to keep you informed, and you can opt out with a click. They promise not to sell your info on and I reckon they’d be safe.
